Sculpting Expressive Animals – Bear – Local Artist Carrie Althouse

Carrie’s ability to see and make creatures from clay is unbelievable.  In this class she will lead you step-by-step through the process of hand sculpting clay into a bear.  The class will teach the basics of creating animals, focusing on their expressions.  She will share the art of creating just the right facials features that will give your bear life.  At the end of the day, you will have enjoyed learning how Carrie expresses her love for nature in her thrown pieces, and most especially in her sculptures and you will have created your own sculpted bear.

Carrie will provide instructions on glazing the bear yourself or CIY staff will do this for you.
