Glazing Workshop for Students and Members only

Beginners will focus on details of glaze application to help ensure new and upcoming potters hard work makes it out of the glaze firing successfully. By understanding the details of application participants will have a solid foundation to start experimenting with glazing.
Participants will learn the following:
-how to prepare bisque ware for glazing
-how to properly wax, tape and water resist in preparation for glazing -how to brush, pour and dip -layering techniques and glaze combinations -peacock technique -tips and tricks for successful glazing
Participants will learn and practice the peacock technique. Participants will need 1-2 bisque pieces(small/medium) and a fan brush. The peacock technique works best on bowls or vertical surfaces, flat pieces are not recommended.
