Intermediate Wheel Class – Beyond the Round – Tools and Techniques

For experienced potters looking to expand their body of work by using tools made from clay. Learn to make sturdy wheel-thrown bisque molds as well as hand-built molds and stamps. Using these tools, make bowls, mugs and other functional ware. Learn to alter thrown cylinders and add lids, practice surface techniques and hand build. Throwing and trimming exercises. The class will encourage discussion and verbal visualization of goals.

Best suited for intermediate throwers, who are comfortable with
centering and throwing 3+ pounds of clay.
