Perfecting Bowls with Hadrian Mendoza

Bowls are one of the most common shapes to form on a wheel, whether you are a
beginner or advanced potter. In this workshop, you will learn how to create a series of 5
functional bowls on the wheel. Four types of functional bowls will be demonstrated as well as
one large serving bowl. Form and functionality will be discussed as well as aesthetics that
makes a simple bowl visually pleasing. Trimming will be covered at the end of the session, with

an explanation of simplifying the process that finishes your bowl and gives it a “foot’ that works
well with the shape.
