Steve Palmer Animated Pots

In this workshop the student will learn a new technique for hand building a ceramic box. Also, they will expand their knowledge of different ways of finishing the surface of the piece by using texture rollers, layering of underglazes and many other ways of illustrating a piece. In addition, the student will learn to make a creature using a hollow form technique. We will discuss size and proportion in the class to ensure that their pieces work as a whole unit. At the end of the workshop, the student will have a finished piece and the skills and hopefully the inspiration to continue making more art. This workshop is designed for anyone with a working knowledge of the basic techniques of creating a hand-built piece without step-by-step instructions.

Intermediate Level – This workshop is designed for anyone with a working knowledge of the basic techniques of creating a hand-built piece.
