Steve Palmer Oil Can Pitcher

Saturday February 1, 10am – 4pm

In this workshop the student will learn about hand building an Oil Can Pitcher. They will expand their knowledge of different ways of finishing the surface of the piece by using stencils and layering underglaze colors on the clay to create a dynamic surface design. We will discuss size and proportion in the class to ensure that their pieces work as a whole unit. At the end of the workshop, the student will have a finished piece and the skills and hopefully the inspiration to continue making more art.

Intermediate Level – This workshop is designed for anyone with a working knowledge of the basic techniques of creating a hand-built piece.
